13 de Abril del 2020
APRO Supe donated food baskets for 500 vulnerable families
Families living on day to day income are affected by the quarantine declared by government. Aware of this problem, "APRO Supe donated 500 basic food baskets to vulnerable families residing in Supe Puerto," said Wenceslao Franco, Superintendent of Supe Plant, of Pesquera Diamante, one of the companies that makes up APRO Supe. Among them, the CCPP Leticia population: Virgen de las Mercedes and San Miguelito human settlements.
Franco pointed out that “the distribution of the baskets was carried out with the collaboration of the Municipality of Supe Puerto, who had the beneficiaries registered. The delivery was made one basket per family, taking precautions that avoid risks of contagion of COVID-19”. This joint work has given a hand to many families with limited economic resources so that they can better face these difficult times that are happening.
Previous weeks, APRO Supe had already donated sanitary material, boxes of water and canned tuna for the benefit of approximately 150 workers from the police station, health centers, the cleaning service and the municipality itself, who are on the front line of battle against COVID-19 in Supe Puerto.
